Katherine’s practice includes representation of property owners and developers in a variety of real estate matters, including negotiation and closing of real estate purchases and sales, negotiation and drafting of retail, office and industrial leases and property management agreements, and working with lenders and borrowers on financing transactions. She has both business and legal experience gained through working with a public tax and accounting firm, start-up businesses and private law firms.
Katherine’s experience includes the following representative matters:
- Assisting local and regional banking associations with negotiation and drafting of documentation for secured loans, including construction, bridge and permanent financing
- Assisting both landlords and tenants with leasing matters, including negotiating and drafting office, industrial and retail leases and related documents such as lease guarantees, subordination agreements, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, and estoppel certificates
- Assisting real estate developers with large commercial real estate purchases and sales, including negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements and related documents; due diligence review of title, use restrictions and related issues; and review and negotiation of financing documents
- Assisting real estate developers and telecommunications companies in negotiating and drafting easements, license agreements, cost-sharing agreements, and participation agreements
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Oberle worked as a transactional associate in the Walnut Creek office of Miller, Starr & Regalia, where she represented residential developers and local regional banking associations. Katherine has also practiced as a real estate and corporate associate with Robbins Palmer & Allen LLP in Oakland and with Arter & Hadden LLP in San Francisco. Prior to working in law firms, she held the position of Associate Counsel with an investment firm that assisted public companies in raising capital through the sale of debt and equity securities. Katherine also acted as General Counsel to a private start-up company.
