Katherine’s practice emphasizes the litigation of complex business and real estate related disputes as well as litigation of product liability claims and class action litigation for both private and public companies. Her practice includes representation of clients in contract disputes, in litigation arising from merger and acquisition transactions, and in disputes arising out of the purchase, sale and development of residential and commercial real estate.
Ms. Wenger works with both publicly and privately held companies as well as individuals involved in both the real estate and technology industries. Her practice includes representation of developers, homebuilders, commercial real estate brokers, as well as a variety of other businesses including distributors and manufacturers of a wide variety of products as well as newly founded technology companies.
Katherine’s experience includes the following representative matters:
- Litigation of multi-party complex litigation arising out of dispute over manufacturing and distribution agreement with claims in excess of $100 million dollars.
- Representation of a public company in multiple product liability and unfair competition class action suits filed nationwide arising from an allegedly defective product.
- Resolution of a dispute arising from the acquisition of a software company by a public hardware company.
- Successful defense of trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition claims.
- Prosecution of the fraudulent sale of businesses and partnerships.
- Successful resolution of complex construction disputes, including construction defect and mechanics lien issues.
- Representation of developers and landowners in disputes arising out of the purchase and sale of real property.
- Representation of brokers and landowners in commercial leasing matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Katherine worked as a Litigation Associate in the Palo Alto office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she litigated and handled various matters for the firm’s business and technology clients. Her practice focused on the resolution of complex business disputes and matters.
